Microsoft Security Essentials Continue to Identify TrojanDownloader:Win32/FakeRean
Hello, this is my first time posting on this forum. Any help is greatly appreciated! My computer was infected with a malware called Desktop Security two weeks ago. I successfully removed it from my computer using Malwarebytes. However, it seems like there is still a trace of the malware left. Everytime I restart the computer, Microsoft Security Essentials would detect this potential treat called TrojanDownloader: Win32/FakeRean. I always remove it. But the same warning will pop up again when the computer restarts.Today, I have tried turning off system restore, and then run a full Microsoft Security Essentials scan and a Malwarebytes scan. But no threat was detected.Again, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!1 person needs an answerI do too

Run a full scan. Once you do that run TDSS Killer. All these are free.TFCSUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!TDSSKiller.exe

Something tells me that I will regret doing this >.>...Ok, If you choose ANY of our methods. Do ONE of our posts, don't select multiples, don't download one program from one person's forum and one program from another. Dont install more than one AntiVirus at a time, unless it is a second opinon scanner like Hitman Pro. Now to do this method, you need a non infected computer and a USB thumbdrive.Download the following tools onto a thumbdrive from a non infected computer:Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware(viruses, trojans, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the securitymeasures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls, etc.).http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanproRkill:rkill.com Download Link Now follow these instructions to the LETTER!!!:Go to your infected computer.Once the screen is loaded up: Plug in the USB device into your infected computer and click on rkill. Your desktop will disappear briefly. This is normal.Once it reappears you should then be able to click on and run Hitman Pro.Note: If you reboot your computer at any time prior to the complete removal of the malware, other than when instructed by the scanner, you will have to run rkill again. You may have to run rkill several times to get the malware processed stopped. It will eventually stop it though. If, after several tries it still doesn't stop the malware process, reboot in safe mode with networking. Try rkill first though. This is because any time you shut down an infected system you run the risk it will not reboot.Hot to do safemode with networking:Boot into safemode with networking (press F8 key repeatedly after restart your PC)Once at the screen of boot options use the arrow keys to select safe mode with net workingHit enter, log in.Then repeat the above steps.Once you are done, and confident that it is malware free come repost and I will give you a good setup of free Antivirus/spyware/malware programs.
