Is your lync is integrated with exchange ? it seems it might be trying to connect with outlook or looking for .ost file and gettign this error, try to re-install lync communicator.

Please mark it as answred if that resolves your issue

Sound and webcam is working as expected?

I would recomend to update sound ,gfx and web cam driver to see if problem is still there.

Usually when Lync crashes during start its related to one of these hardware.

Hi,

However, Lync is working fine even if the error message appeared. Therefore, Lync did not crash.

Thanks,

Akira

Hi,

Please try to uninstall the default Sound Card, VGA Device/Video Card, Graphic Card. Then restart Lync 2010 to test the issue.

Please try to uninstall the latest Lync 2010 update (especially for the Security Update), then restart Lync 2010.

Hello,

I found that this problem is caused by Outlook 2010/SP2 with KB2956128 and KB2956203 patches  Actually, this problem does not occur on Outlook/SP1. Moreover, KB2956128 and KB2956203 patches are not applied to Outlook 2010/SP1.

Is it make sense?

Regards,
Akira
