Hi,Since Windows 2000 has completed its life cycle, we won’t able to do much about it. You will have to contact your computer manufacturer. However, put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install McAfee.a. Putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. b. Refer the following Microsoft KB article for more information on how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in XP:How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned under the section 'Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state' in the above KB article.Regards,Manasa P – Microsoft Support.

Hello -Thanks for the reply. I will keep this information for future troubleshooting issues. After frantically scanning the forums for a like-problem, I was able to Disable Script Debugging thru my Internet Options and was able to finish the install of my McAfee. However, I am told that they also no longer support Win2000, so when my subscription runs out in two months, I will not be able to renew. But at least, for now, I can safely use my computer to search for work. Thanks again for the help!
