Microsoft ISATAP Adapter, Tancredo Tunneling Adapter, and ISATAP Adapter #2 problems
First, I realize that different threads for each issue are generally started, but as my Display Name indicates, I don't really know much (anything) about computers at this level (only enough to get myself into trouble :) , and it seems that all of these network adapter problems might be related, so here goes: SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION: I discovered that my laptop has a yellow exclamation mark next to its icon in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers, so I right-clicked it and selected Troubleshoot from the menu, and successive messages were then displayed indicating that "There is a problem with the driver for" those three adapters, and "Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem." I Apply[ed] this fix to each occurrence, but they were "Not Fixed," so I Explore[d] additional options, which lead me to Windows Communities (here I hope/think that I'm in the right place). I found a similar threads in other forums (Vista and possibly others), and one of the replies said to open the Device Manager and reinstall the driver via "Action - Add legacy hardware," so I Uninstall[ed] them and re-Add[ed] them, to no avail as the problems persist. ENVIRONMENT: My system is a factory refurbished HP G56 running 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium on a 2.19GHz Intel Celeron CPU with 3GB RAM. RECENT CONFIGURATION CHANGES / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This all began when I reinstalled the ZoneAlarm Free Firewall that I downloaded from CNET.com, but it would hang up when it got ~20% to 25%+ of the way through the final Configuration stage, so I called their 800 # and their techs tried to fix it remotely after I had uninstalled that, and EVERY other piece of security freeware that I'd gotten from CNET, but that issue was never resolved (and now I can't reinstall Avast! either, so I've switched to AVG 2012 Free and Online Armor I don't know what they did, but my system can now do less than what it could do before I received their "help"). One of the many ZoneAlarm techs that I spent the better part of a day on the phone with said that he thought that my uninstallation of the security software had left some errors in my registry which might be causing the problem, so I ran the Registry Cleaner in CCleaner64, it came out clean after applying fixes to the issues that it located, and he told me that CCleaner only deleted unnecessary files :( "Registry Cleaner" seems pretty clear to me, so I wish that I'd realized that he didn't know what he was talking about before I let him and his colleagues have access to my comp, but hindsight is always 20/20). I then searched CNET for registry repair software and downloaded and ran Advanced System Care 5, which also gave a clean report after fixing the errors that it found (I kept running them until they both reported zero problems). I then tried to reinstall both Avast! and ZoneAlarm, but they didn't care that there weren't any registry errors, so I gave up and switched to AVG and Online Armor, and now I'm at least protected on those two fronts. I was going to begin the process of reinstalling the other security freeware that I'd chosen from CNET, but now I've just happened to have discovered these issues with my network adapter drivers (Ive found no other indication than the yellow exclamation point on the device icon) which I hope that some kind soul(s) on this forum can help me to resolve (once all of that is done, I will research how to better secure my UltraLine Series3 Model 9100EM wireless router which Verizon gave to me, but I think that I have enough problems to sort out at the moment :) . Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Ryan

Hi, I suggest installing one security program in the system only. As AVG has been installed, please do not try to install Avast or the other security software. More than one antivirus programs may lead to some compatibility problem. For devices issue, it occurs after installing ZoneAlarm. Please try to perform System Restorefirst. If the issue persists, please help me capture a screenshot of it and paste it here.
