Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86 I have tried numeros times and cannot install this update after DL I keep getting a error msg that some updates could not be installed . HELP!!3 people need an answerI do too

please check your event log and post the error messages here, it may help figure out what the issue isright click my computer, go to manage, event viewer and look in the system and application logs, under type you should see stop errors.

well i found no event viewer in my computer, but this has occured after I did a system recovery .. and am also having a problem with tray app . as a novice i have no idea what they are talking about or what to do. thanks anyway

try running sfc /scannowhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747start, run cmd press enterat the prompt type in sfc /scannowThen go to windows update and try installing the updates from that location

Hi,I just got the issue resolved and got all the updates installed. Here is how:-1. Download from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ab99342f-5d1a-413d-8319-81da479ab0d7&displaylang=en2. Save or Run the file exe3. Choose the option "Repair"4. When the process is completed, restart your computer.5. Install the latest updates. I hope this will resolved all your problems.
