Messenger 2011 no video chat button on contact screen
I hope this is the right forum for my problem/question. I have Windows 2011 Essentials installed on a Win 7 with SP1 and IE9. I attempted to use Messeneger 2011 live video chat. On my side there is no video chat button on the contact window.
I did go through the video/audio setup process. My contact on the other does have the video chat button on his contact window.
Does anyone have a thought why my video chat button is missing. The help books and the intro video are of no assistance. I can start a video message but no video chat.
The web cam works on Skype and on other web sites needing a web cam with no problem.
I am probably doing something stupid and I don't what it is.
7/6 further info:
When my contact clicks on video call he gets the following message:
Charles does not have video and voice conversation installed (or it is disabled) and is not able to accept your invitation.
Also in actions, video, start a video call is grayed out.
With another contact I have the video chat button on the bottom of my contact screen.
Why the difference between the two contacts????

Hi,
You may setup the Webcam again and choose default-None rather than disable for both the accounts.
Additionally, because your question is related to Windows Live Suite. I suggest you to post the thread at
