Message failed to deliver.

Hi All,

I am new to Office communicator and recently I had request to allow one of our partner domain  in Allowed federation partner domain

Partner is using Lync and it is hosted in cloud-office 365.So We shared our sip and Edge server information with each other and  allowed port 5061 bidirectional in our firewall and configured partner domain in our edge server.

Now we can able to see users available status from both size and partner domain users can send text message to us from their end.

But the issue is we are unable to send message to my partner domain users. Its  getting failed with the below error.

The following message was not delivered to username. (ID:504).

Kindly share your Troubleshooting step for this issue.

Thanks,

HI Amjath,

Check this

1) Log on to Lync Edge server and try to telnet partner company access edge 5061 port. E.g. telnet accessedge.domain.com 5061

2) If you are unable to telnet using access edge name then try to telnet using IP instead of name.

It Might be DNS Resolution Issue.

Hi,

It can be the issue of the Edge external certificate. Make sure the certificate is configured correctly and trusted by Lync Online side.

You can check the certificate with the help of the link below:

Hi Moderator,

Thank you for replay.

We use valid SAN external certificate in edge servers.  we can able to send text message to other federated domain user.

Have you added O365 as a trusted hosting provider or listed the domain as allowed? If you don't do this your Lync servers wont trust O365. It sounds like you probably have already done this, just want to confirm.

If yes most likely a firewall issue. Double check your config on that.
