Merge of DHCP info in a v4/v6 Dual Stack Environment
Looking for info or existing documentation that describes how Windows resolves merging of 'duplicate' information when using DHCPv4 and DHCPv6 in a duial stack environment. Specifically, if the v4 and v6 DHCP servers provide DNS server addresses, how does the client use that information. Is there some merging scheme, possibly adding to the list of servers in order received, or does one protocol take precedence over the other. I see RFC4477 discusses the issue and provides some possible solutions, but no idea what Msoft uses. Any info or pointers are appreciated.
