Memory tab missing from Device Manager
hi, i recently wanted to upgrade my ram in my computer, so i opened it up and found two ram slots, one with 512mb and the other with a 256mb. however, i was confused because in my computer properties it said i only had 512mb total. so i went to the device manager to look at my ram, and the memory tab just wasn't there at all. i've tried looking everywhere and i can't find a solution. 1 person needs an answerI do too

The amount of memory is shown on the General tab in the System applet. You can also use one of the free inventory programs below to see what you have. See what the BIOS reports for the amount of RAM, too. To find out what kind of RAM your motherboard needs as well as any special considerations as to combinations, paired memory, etc. you can read the motherboard or computer manual or go to Crucial and use their memory finder tool. http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html - Belarc Advisor http://www.gtopala.com/ - System Information for WindowsMS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
