Memory shortage problem
I am critically low on memory, but have hardly anything on add/remove programs. I have done a system search with a pc mechanic program and it has stated that I have 14,000 duplicate files totalling approx 5gb. I do not know whether or not it is safe to delete the duplicates. Any suggestions please?? Thanks. 1 person needs an answerI do too

Those "PC Mechanic", optimizer, and registry cleaner programs are garbage. I would uninstall it. http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099 - registry cleaner thread As for your problem, do you really mean "low on memory" or "low on hard drive space"? Lots of people confuse the two. Post back with what is really happening, including the exact text of any error messages you receive, a description of your computer, the size of your hard drive and how much free space it has.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
