Memory Change Not Reflected in Device Manager Description
I installed Win7 RC1 with 2G memory (2x1). I pulled 1G so I could experiment with another computer. Computer properties still shows 2G of memory (1G usable). Soyo Dragon+ board, PC3200 memory. Everything works fine. Please, jus show me accurately how much physical memory I have, and if you want to get fancy in that first screen, the size of the swap file!

Leo, There have been varying reports of the RC not accurately displaying the total amount of available memory in the computer properties menu. This will be ironed out in the final release. In the meantime, as long as the Task Manager correctly reflects the installed system memory, you can disregard other incorrect reports.-Alex

You're fortunate enoughto even have Windows 7 on that system. Despite how good everything works, I can tell you, right off the bat, that your motherboard isnot even compatable with Vista let alone Windows 7. I've got another system with aSoyo Dragon Black Label (P4I875P Dragon2 v1.0) and I know that it's not Vista/Windows 7 compatable. I wouldn't even think twice of installing Windows 7 on that system.Soyo discontinued those board 3~4 years ago. Fortunately, they still have stuff available for download.GA P35 DQ6 Mb, Intel Wolfdale 8600 3.33Ghz C2D CPU., 4x2Gb Mushkin DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 Ascents Memory Mods., PNY-nVidia GE Force 8800 GTS (640MB), 4-Western Digital Caviar SATA(2) HDD's (internal), 1 EIDE-USB External; Hauppauge PVR 1600 TV tuner, Dual Monitor: (1) Standard up top, (1) WideScreen below; Altec Lansign Speakers...

Hey, you gotta give MS credit. Except for some odd stuff with my Creative XFI fatality (and we know about Creative's sluggish driver re-writes), I've had zero problems with Win7 Beta or RC1 on this system. Truth is, I"m in love, and I'll buy the retail version when they kill the RC.
