What kind of video card does your computer have? If its sharing memory that may be the problem.

I have the same issue running Windows 7 x64 on 4 GB of memory on a Foxconn motherboard. There have been numerous discussions of this problem in various Internet forums, and not all instances have been solved. If your BIOS has an option for "dynamic memory remap" or something to that effect, make sure that setting is enabled. Otherwise, you'll have to accept for the time being that the memory model has changed slightly in Windows 7 RC, and the operating system is still a work in progress. I'm using the machine with a 512 MB Radeon 4850, which reports 1919 MB of available memory, and it's anyone's guess where it's getting the extra 1407 MB of memory from when my OS seems only to be missing ~768 MB. For further information about how Windows uses memory, you may find this to be an interesting read.-Alex
