Media Streaming Devices - add/remove
I removed all devices inside the "Media Streaming Options - for computers and devices". Now I want them back ? How can I get the devices on my network back in the list ....? The only entry left in this table is: "Media programs on this PC and remote connections". I want the other entries that were removed earlier today like my Laptop , PS3 ... etc back in the list Help & Thanks

If you are talking about media player try this from the media player help After you turn on media streaming, Windows Media Player will automatically detect any computers and devices on your private network that are able to receive media streams. You can stream media to all computers and devices on your network by default, or you can stream media to specific devices. Here's how: Click the Start button , click All Programs, and then click Windows Media Player. If the Player is currently open and youre in Now Playing mode, click the Switch to Library button in the upper-right corner of the Player. Click Stream, and then click More streaming options. More streaming options won't appear on the Stream menu until after you turn on home media streaming. On the Media streaming options page, do any of the following: If you want to stream media to all computers and devices on your network, click Allow All. If you don't want to stream media to any computers or devices on your network, click Block All. If you want to stream media to some computers and devices, click either Allowed or Blocked on the menu next to each item in the list of computers and devices. Click OK.

I have the same problem, the problem isn't about enabling media streaming and selecting the device but the device isn;t listed...no matter what I did my TV philips device is no longer listed after removing it...... so after removing my network device (philips TV) restarting media streaming, disabling / enabling and still my device isn't listed.... any help will be appreciated

I have the same problem with my LG DP1 DNLA enabled. I have it removed from media stremeang options and now it has disappeared as a media device; only show as a computer. I remember seeing the solution because I had this problem previously but I can't remember where. I'm getting crazy. I vaguely remember that you have to stop some service and than clear some cache (command line) or something else and it involves the network adapter itself. Actualy, I have reinstalled win 7 but the problem is still there.

I experienced the same problem. Someone suggested uninstalling windows media player (add/remove windows components) and reinstalling it. That did work but when the computer was rebooted the same problem started again.

I GOT IT BACK... HOPEFULLY THIS WORKS FOR YOU.. Had the same ANNOYING problem. Tried a number of different things. Open your "Device Manager", found in the Control Panel (under Hardware and Sound in Win7). Find the entry for your device, in my case it was WDTVLIVE, under System Devices. Open up the properties window, go to the Driver tab, and click Disable. Once disabled, click enable. This worked for me, it is finally back in the list of devices in streaming options!
