Media Player causes strange events
Win7 Ultimate x64 When I click on something that utilizes Windows Media Player, a plugged in usb thumb drive flashes as if it's being read or written to. What legitimate reason exists for WMP to be looking around on drives connected to my pc? Does this mean any website can stalk someone's pc by getting them to click on a video?

I've noticed it before with other legitimate streaming video. It's not often that there's a thumb drive plugged into a usb so there's no way to know "when it started" as you're asking. Is there a legitimate reason why WMP is looking on all drives? Is it trying to index all compatible files or something?
