Since purchasing a new computer with Media Player 12, my Sony MP3 player will not sync.  Media Player recognizes the Walkman but no matter which method I try, including manually and automatically, I get an error mssg for each and every MP3 song in the Sync Results.  This was not a problem with Media Player 11.

If you use USB 3.0 port to connect your Sony MP3, try to use USB 2.0 port on your computer to see what's going one.

Thanks for replying, unfortunately both USB ports on my new machine are 3.0.  I have looked at the thread you mentioned and tried everything suggested there to no avail.
