our beloved windows OS can do that, you dont need a third party. just go to control panel administrative tools > performance. it presents you with a console that enables you monitor pc performance objects,counters,namely.. disk usage, memory usage, network usage,..... to learn more about the performance console and to fully weild its power, search for performance console in microsoft technet. I added "Bytes Total/Sec" counter for network card. It returns however 4 values: last, average, minimum, maximum. How can I know total used bytes at the end of the day ? Thanks !!

there is an Icon labeled "report" at the top row of the performance console, this should give you a total value.if not, do a trace log and monitor Bytes Total /sec for the required duration.trace logs usually save reports in .txt format to be viewed in notepad. for more info on trace logs search for trace logs in the bing searchbox above. if you still dont et what you want, then you can use Network monitor, its available from windows server 2003 OS and above. dont forget to mark your question as answered.
