Mapping now fails after Securing XP Pro security via Security Compliance Manager's strongest template
Securing XP Issue? I hardened a fresh install of Windows XP Pro, then did sp3 and all windows updates, then hardened the OS with the hardest template from the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager. OK so now I can not map a drive from that hardened XP Pro pc? What was odd, I was able to map from my already existing laptop to this ly built xp PC, but not the other way, nor to my NT4 server. * No, the new xp box is NOT joining the domain, but a stand alone workgroup. domain going away, but will need to map drives for a few months and then between other home pcs with wife and kids ongoing as we do now to share files. What the heck, help???So then I changed the SMBSigning to on and off on the NT4 server and this new xp box, but still fails and my laptop works fine either way...?\What else did the hardening template do?What can I relax so the stupid thing can map a driveThanks so much in advance?GizmoMadMax1 person needs an answerI do too
