Mapping a drive Vista32 to Vista 64
Ihave a puzzler. I have sharedthe c drive on my desktoprunning Vista 64 andon my laptop Vista 32 I can only seem to map a drive letter under one user account. Onthedesktop the drive is shared for "everyone" with all permissions, read write etc. When I log on to my laptop I canmap a drive letter with no problem from my user account however from the other account I get an error "Login failure: the user has not been granted the requested login type at this computer."I can map the drive from this user account ifclick "connect using a different user name". I have been chasing this problem for days with no solution. What gives? -Geno

Hi Geno, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Disconnect Network drive on all accounts. 2. Re-configure the sharing. 3. Map the drive again on the accounts one by one. Meanwhile, I would also share the following documents with you. Hope they are helpful: File and Printer Sharing in Windows Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx Create a shortcut to (map) a network drive http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/909d569b-ed98-4176-9f7c-6eed5201ba441033.mspx Hope this helps.
