When i use a laptop and log on to the domain a few mapped drives showing up. These drive are mapped thru a GPP depending on department. Everything works well but i take the laptop to my home and connect then thru a vpn. The problem then is that Outlook does not start because he cannot find the networkdrivers. When i look at the drive in explorer, they are working when i click on them but have a red cross, though they work when clicking on them. Outlook doesn't see them however. I have read on the Internet of time outs in Windows 7 when networkdrives are not used. Is this the same problem, inactivity of the shares? This problem occurs every time because connecting thru network and then at home thru vpn is different... freddie
