Map a network drive in My Computer without assigning letter
Hi I'm kinda running short on letters here (Z is already taken by an external HDD and I already have a USB drive that uses A since I don't have a floppy anymore). I was wondering is it is possible to map a folder (local or online folder - but especially online folder) as a drive in My Computer without using a drive letter. I know it is possible to use a HDD without using a drive letter (NTFS Folder or something - don't exactly know how it's called since I never used before)(correct me if I'm wrong here). If Windows does not support this (although it technically does, as far as I know), can you recommend me some apps for this? I am trying to map Box and SkyDrive (don't like the SkyDrive app) and I don't want to assign another drive letter permanently. So far I managed to map my Box account using WebDAV on 1 system but it fails on my second system and SkyDrive doesn't seam to work anymore. I also tried using BitKinex app but this also seam to fail. But mapping a network drive in a LAN always seam to use a drive letter. And sorry if this is the wrong topic for this.

Can you use this? MKLINK - Creates a symbolic link. MKLINK [[/D] | [/H] | [/J]] Link Target /D Creates a directory symbolic link. Default is a file symbolic link. /H Creates a hard link instead of a symbolic link. /J Creates a Directory Junction. Link specifies the new symbolic link name. Target specifies the path (relative or absolute) that the new link refers to. HTH
