Hi,is there any reason why you don't use the integrated function within Internet Explorer for this?Peter Forster, MVP Virtual Machine, Austria

Oh I do use that to but I am just curious to know how its also done manually . I like to view the folder itself to see if its really empty when it gets deleted .Thank you .

I don't know about the cookies, but the Temporary Internet Files are deleted when you run the disk clean up. The cookies may be deleted in that, but I don't think so.If your asking about where the folder is, mine is in C:\Users\JacksonW\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files . Hope this helps!

This is where your favourite search engine comes in handy. Most things in Windows 7 are in the place as in Vista.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=vista+cookies+folder&meta=http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=vista+cookies+folder&go=&form=QBLHKerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience

Hi Mike,If you don't mind the resource and system hog that Norton 360 is, then you could install that. In Norton 360's "Tasks and Settings" section, it has a "Clean Up Temporary Files" feature that should do what you are asking for without hunting for folders using "Computer".Henry[CPU] - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.50 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB [MOBO] - Gigabyte EP35-DS4 F2 [RAM] - 2 x 2GB (4GB) Transcend DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz [GPU] - Galaxy Geforce 9800GTX [SFX1] - Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC889A) [SFX2] - ASUS XONAR D2 (USB2.0) [HDD1] - 500GB Western Digital 7200RPM / Partition 1 - WinXP Pro SP2 32-bit (Clean install) / Partition 2 - Win7 Beta (Build 7000) 64-bit (Clean install) [HDD2] - 120GB Western Digital 7200RPM [LCD] - 17" Samsung Syncmaster 240N [HID] - Microsoft Habu [KBD] - Logitech LX-710 Wireless Desktop [MIC] - ASUS Array Microphone

Thanks guys for the links and tips . It was my own error that I should of known better . I been playing around to much with xp machines that I thought i was using Vistapc's instead and was trying to find these folders were XP keeps them on Vista pc's. When you view 2000/xp pc's often and the odd Vista it can get a little confusing . OnceStarcomusa provide that route I realize my error , Thanks
