Man, even my computer hates vista.
So I had windows 7 on my laptop, works great, love it. I don't really game on the laptop, so it works out. My desktop on the other hand, I game from time to time. I had an issue with my desktop not recognizing the cd-rom, and after 6 months of trying to fix it every way imaginable, I put Windows 7 on it to see if it could work its magic. It did, the comp finally saw my cd drive. But Windows 7 doesn't like games just yet, most of them freeze or act wierdly in the enviroment, so despite, loving 7 over vista. I attempted to rollback to vista. I figure, hey, I've got 6gb of ram, its okay. This, is where my computer spoke up, and refused to do so. Upon booting from the Vista Business x64 disk, it BSOD'd. Did so twice more. So I left it and figured, meh, computer is probably just refusing to downgrade. Came back after lunch, and it installed vista fine, but as soon as it restarted and loaded up that Microsoft Corporation lack of progress bar, it BSODs for half a second, and restarts.... Done this quite a few times now, never getting past that loading bar. Startup recovery shakes its head and just says Oops. Running Windows Memory Diagnostics tool right now, any ideas? Thoughts?

Set your bios back to defaults, and tell us what the message says on the screen when it BSOD's would be a good start.

Never can see the messsage, it pretty much flickers on the screen and restarts. BIOS is at defaults, so its not a temp thing, 35c on bios display.Never the less, I fixed it, or at least got it to work. Turns out vista has no idea how to deal with a SATA Dvd drive and a IDE drive at the same time, so it dies. I found this out buy going into the case and unplugging things, seeing if it worked, blah blah. Anyway, it works, and my computer is giving me evil looks because it has vista on it again. Oh well.
