Malware on my PC. Please help.
Hi, today im not sure how it happened but at 8:56 PST a file was created on my PC called msa.exe. I didn't notice it until my Firefox crashed and is now comepletely disabled (using IE). I tried to run malwarebytes but about 1 sec into the scan the virus ____ it down and corrupted it. I found three viruses (msa.exe, b.exe and a.exe) and deleted them but my my problems still persist. If I try to run a google search the links take me to unrelated websites (usally ____ or advertisements). Im using the Windows 7 RC and I don't know where my XP disk is so I don't think reformating is an option. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello MentalMidgt, According to your problem description, lets perform the following steps to narrow down the issue. 1. Open Task Manager. Find exactly msa.exe from the processes tab; right click it and select End process tree. Search the whole computer for the msa / msa.exe file and try deleting it to test the result. 2. Install and scan the whole computer via some Anti-virus software (Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended). If the virus is unable to be deleted in the system, we might go into Windows safe mode (press F8 while booting the comptuer) and try again. Good luck! Andy
