Malicious Software Removal Tool Malfunctions
Hi,I am running Windows XP HOME OEM SP3. In running MRT.exe, the /N switch fails to function. Rather then performing a quick scan automatically without any prompts, it loads the program as if no switch was used. I am using it from command prompt. Something tells me special syntax must be used such that if mrt.exe is on the root of C drive, then the following would fail:mrt.exe /N Would fail because as I said, I believe special syntax is required.Enlighten me. 1 person needs an answerI do too

USE MRT.EXE /N /QOpen the mrt.log at C:\windows\debug to review the result (give the scan time to complete)

If you're running MRT from a Command Prompt then you'll need to Change Directories to WINDOWS\system32 first so that the switch can be used in conjunction with the Command Prompt -cd windows\system32One can also run it from Safe Mode with Command Prompt .MowGreen Windows Expert IT Pro - Consumer Security
