Make my computer run faster
My computer seems to be running very slowly, I have no idea how this has come to pass. I have tryed getting rid of all my files on the computer, but no luck. I wonder if it needs a bigger ram. If this works will it increse the speed of the internet and the computer.ThanksMF1 person needs an answerI do too

There could be many reasons for this but you should first look into whether you have some malware on your machine. Make sure you AV is up to date and do a thorough scan of your machine. Next use something like Spybot search & destroy and ad-aware to clean out any other rubbish that you may have. If you have problems removing any malware you would be best going to a forum that specialises in these things. The spybot forum is a good place. Try this and see how you go on.

If you got rid of all your files, you would have ablank hard drive, and Windows couldn't even start. So exactly what files did you get rid of? Exactly how did you get ridof them? > but no luck. Exactly what does that mean? What were the results? Any change at all? > I wonder if it needs a bigger ram. RAM comes in amounts, not sizes. You can (possibly) get more RAM, butnot bigger RAM. How much RAM do you have? > If this works will it increse the speed of the internet No. > and the computer. Maybe. It depends on how much RAM you have now, what you increase itto, and what applications you run. Also has it always been slow, or is this something new? If it's new, what has changed? If it's new and little or nothing has changed, adding RAM is very unlikely to make things any better. Having said all the above, and asked a bunch of questions (pleaseanswer them), let me tell you the most likely cause for the computergetting slower: you are infected with malware. So please also answerthe following questions: what anti-virus and anti-spyware programs doyou run? Are they kept up to date? Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP
