Major Windows 7 RDP Issue?
I am using Windows 7 on two PC's, one local and one remote. I used Remote Desktop to connect to the remote PC and I needed to transfer a file from the local PC to the remote PC. Having configured my RDP connection to allow connection to Disk resources, I went to Computer on the remote PC and browsed to the location where the file was located (the drive on the local PC was a network drive). I dragged the file out to the desktop of the remote PC and all of the loose files in the directory I was copying from disappeared! I went back to the local PC and all the files are gone. There were folders in that directory that were not touched, but all the files that were not in folders are gone and I have not been able to recover them.Anyone see this issue yet?- Eli

Are there any settings within RDP that allow you to decide what to do with files copied? It really shouldn't delete them, so could you try running this on your Windows 7 machine to report the bug: rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard

Hello Eli and mslhl,I have been able to copy and paste files across RDP connection, is this a strictly drag and drop problem for you? Can you copy and paste without losing data?-Scott

Hello, I used a windows 7 beta machine to rdp to another similar machine with the beta with the c drive as a shared local resource.Usually I can copy any file (drag and drop or right click copy paste) to the c drive. This is the first time I used windows 7 rdp like this. I tried copying a picture to the networkedc drive andit says"you need permission to preform this action". So I navigate to my user folderand paste it into a folder with a few other pictures and the file shows up for a moment and then it disappears as well as allthe other images in that folder. The subfolders are fine. I wanted to confirm this problem. I'll do some more testing and looking for fixes for this. Thanks
