Major VPN Issues
Ok, I'm going insane! I'm using windows 7 Premium as my server, and trying to connect via a windows xp machine over VPN. I'm using a EVDO card on my xp machine, and fios on my windows 7 server. I can connect to the vpn no problem (PPTP) However Once connected I cannot ping the servers local address or see it. On the server I cannot ping the client either! When I'm on the server looking at the the network conections i see the wan miniport (pptp) with my user name, when i click on it, it is showing the ipv4 and ipv6 are not connected but the media state is connected. Can someone please help me?! thank you.

Ok after 6 hours I figured it out. I had the windows firewall on the server on, so it was blocking the ports. I ended up turning it off and I am just using the routers firewall now and it is working. Not sure if thats a good idea or if i should also configure the windows firewall and make it work together.
