Mail program not associated
I'm have IE9 beta in stalled on a Win 7 - 64 bit with Office 2010. In the past I've been able to click on a mail link and send a compose email windows would pop-up with the "To:" address filled in. This was working perfectly with IE8. After installing the beta of IE9 I'm receiving an error messages stating "Defualt email client has not properly installed". Any idea why IE9 doen't work with Outlook 2010?

Try clicking on the start orb and typing default programs in the search window and hit enter. Click on set your default programs. click on Microsoft Outlook 10 in the list and then set this program as default and ok your way out.

Thanks that worked. It's easier to clck on the orb, then click on default programs. (No need to type it.)

At the beginning of the Task Bar (on its left, if the Task Bar is on the bottom of the screen) is a round icon--what used to say "Start" in previous versions. That's informally called the "Start Orb." Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

Sometimes called the Start Gem. In XP it was a rectangle witht he word START. The changes allow Microsoft to call it a new feature.
