Mail app seemed fine on Win 8.

Having problems connecting with Win 8.1.  Some Exchange connections are fine, others will not connect.  Seems related to large accounts.

I have the same problem.

There is more. Seeing many other issues since 8.1 upgrade.

I should have realized the upgrade was not stable.  I didn't realize it was this unstable.

I loose connection often.  The network WiFi just disappears.  I need to reboot 2-3 times and finally it comes back.

For some reason I thought I would be able to go to the recovery partition and restore back to the "out of the box" state, but the upgrade precluded that option.  None available.

I had always used Acromis True Image to backup partitions.  Sadly I have a backup, but when I tried to do a recovery it fails.  Acronis is aware of the problem.

Help to get recovery media is appreciated.

I have the same problem, 8.1 was the savour but it has more issues and concerns than 8. As a long time user and supporter of Windows, seriously looking and Apple. Come on guys I know 8.1 is the beta by would expect e mail service to work 100%.

i seemed to have fixed it. uninstall the app first ,then run wsreset.exe in cmd. reboot and install it again. 

I don't think you can uninstall Mail.

But I gave up.  8.1 too unstable.  Finally got recovery media and put everything back to 8.0.  Just wasted 8 hours of my life.  But I should have known better.
