We are experiencing a problem with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 8.1. Macros are not running at all.

We have already tried to install the update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (KB2938807) but this does not solve the problem.

We also uninstalled Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and did a clean installation but the problem is still there.

We get no error messages when trying to run the macros.

We are only testing the sample macros i.e. it is not a problem with a new macro.

The macros are working fine on Windows XP, it is not working on Windows 8.1

Have you tried to check update for the Windows 8.1 machine manually to get all the latest updates?
Have you tried to uninstall "KB 2898871" to to verify whether this issue is caused by the specific KB?

KB:2919355 is installed.

Macros are still not running.

I'm embarrassed to say that it was VS10SP1-KB2938807 that was not installed. I really thought I had tried it but obviously slipped-up with everything I tried.
