MS Office OneNote detected by AVG as Malware and Quarintined
<img src="http://support.sks.ie/imgs/OneNoteMalware.PNG" alt="AVG " /> I had Office Student Student 2010 installed as a tial. I wanted Outlook installed also. Because of this I installed Office Pro and after the installation had finished I removed Office student. Just as Office student was removed my AVG Internet Security Pro antivirus detected Malware. The malware was listedas "Q:\140062.ENU\office14\OneNote.EXE". I removed the malware as recommended by AVG and rbooted as recommended by AVG. After the reboot OneNote still work perfectly.. I did the exact same process on my desktop and I have the same AVG installed and I did not get this message.

What was the source of the trial software? Was it trusted? The detection may have been only a "potentially unwanted software" due to the second office installation or a false positive. "Unknown" status. Try and right-click the quarantined file and select properties and select the details tab. You should see Microsoft as the source. If not, then the trial may have been altered or infected or your computer. Have you run a complete scan on the computer? Consult AVG support
