Caspar, please use the Reply button in your existing thread! Not "Ask a question" at the top of the forum! The latter starts a new thread; the former continues your existing thread.Copied from your new thread:<The MS Mouse is"Wireless laser mouse 500" and the version of software is IntelliPoint 6.2The restart button i use is the one built into windows 7 start menu, not my case button, the windows start menu restart button>My response there:Wrong version of Intellipoint, too:Win7-specific of Intellipoint (and Intellipoint, and other MS hardware products) can be found here:http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/windows7/support.mspx___________________________________________________Uninstall your current version of Intellitype, and install the proper Win7-specific version.HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Thanks for your reply, A few others have answered my mouse problem but im still concerned about my restart problem. When I restart my computer, i.e. Through the start menu, (Not the case restart button), My computer freezes up at the windows 7 logo, but it only does this when I manualy do it through the start menu, not when software need to restart and does it itself, Why does this happen? and How can it be fixed?

To be blunt, Caspar, I'd suggest fixing the "mouse problem" (read: uninstall your incorrect version of Intellipoint, and install the correct Win7 version) before spending any more time on the restart issue. It's rather likely that your inappropriate software is causing it.So, fix the first issue, and report back with results.Oh, and a question: is that install of build 7100 a clean installation, or did you do an in-place upgrade from 7057?HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
