MSN Toolbar
I have tried to keep these annoying toolbars off my machines and it seems that MSN toolbar is now in the realm of malware. I tried add/remove and it is still in the startup according to MSCONFIG and its still in program files and its also in memory. That is standard for malware. I have shut it down, but that is because I know how to clean up that type of crap. Its sad that MSN has to stoop that low. can you scan for malware on your system using some 3rd party software? If you are not able to remove toolbar from the Programs list, I suggest that you remove it using the Windows Clean up utility. You can download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from the Microsoft Download Center: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe Or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Once you download and install the Clean up utility. You can access it From Start, All programs. Open the clean up utility and it will list all the installed programs on your computer. Look for the MSN toolbar and uninstall it. Once you successfully uninstall the toolbar, you can install the Windows Live toolbar following the below link: http://download.live.com/toolbarManoj Sehgal
