MSN Messenger Security
A few weeks ago I received a mail from a friend whom I trust and attached there was two files. So I started looking what files and I found:1 - Some photos of girls2 - Another file that I did'nt know what it wasI opened the second file and instantly a blue bar started running and before I can do anything it runs anddisappeared as quickly as it appeared. Just like when you start to unzip a file.Since than my MSN messenger does not keep my username and password and I have to write them everytime I start a session. I suspect I have a spyware of any kind but can't find it. I tried with Symantech, MSE, I changed my passwords, I formated the disk but nothing happened. The computer is working normally (I think…) but this is not normal. Can you help me to be sure I don't have some kind of malaware or something similar ?Thank you1 person needs an answerI do too

I think that that's one of the most dangerous pieces of adviceyou see around, because it implies that it's safe to do theopposite--open attachments from friends and relatives. But manyviruses spread by sending themselves to everyone in the infectedparty's address book, so attachments received from friends are perhapsthe most risky to open.Even if the attachment legitimately comes from a friend, it cancontain a virus. I'm not suggesting that a friend is likely to sendyou a virus on purpose, but if the friend is infected withoutrealizing it, any attachment he sends you is likely to also beinfected.I recommend that you download and run MalwareBytes AntiMalware andSuperAntiSpywareKen Blake, Microsoft MVP
