Tell us a bit more.
Are you using Windows Live Mail?
a large volume of failure to deliver messages can be
caused by someone else using your address as the sender for a spam run.
This does not necessarily indicate any infection on your
machine, and is not something you can prevent--the best medicine for it is
simply to blow away those messages with as little effort on your part as
possible.
Now--when you say "hundreds of sent messages"--do you
mean you can see these messages in a "sent items" folder?
Give us some more details.
Minimally, I would recommend changing your email
password.

If you have not tried this, try the safety scanner first. http://safety.live.comThen, if that doesnt fix the issue, go to http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis, download the installer for the hijack this and run that file. This is a tool from Trend Micro. Generate a log file and paste it here. We will take a look at it. - Mareechan
