I'VE GOT A PROBLEM RECENTLY WITH MY W7RC. IT'S A PPEARING EVERY 25-20 MINUTES A MESSAGE WINDOW SAYING THAT MY WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE. IT SAYS TO CHECK IT ONLINE. I DO IT SO, BUT THEN IT SAYS THAT IT CAN CON BE VALIDATED BECAUSE IT'S NOT FROM MICROSOFT OR IT'S NOT ON SALE YET, BUT NO MORE POSSIBLITIES OR OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. AS A MATER OF FACT I WOULD LIKE TO QUIT TESTING W7RC BECAUSE EVERY TIME THAT WINDOW APPEARS ALL MY DESKTOP GET MIXED UP OR SEEMS TO BE NOT CONFIGURED. I'LL WAIT FOR HELP UNTIL SUNDAY OR I'LL JUST QUIT AND GO BACK TO VISTA. THNX & REGARDS MARK

At the bottom of the window that appears when you enter [Windows] + Break, there should be an option to "Change product key" or "Activate Windows". If you enter the key you received here, you should be done. Note: This works only if you are using RC 7100, Windows 7 Ultimate. Newer builds and other editions of Windows 7 cannot be activated without individual (= not public) keys.
