MDOP MBAM installation fails on Windows 7 installation
I am attempting to install the MDOP MBAM client on a Windows 7 Enterprise workstation. The installation fails, reporting that the client needs either Windows 7 Enterprise or Ultimate version; however it is a Windows 7 Enterprise operating system that is
installed. Unable to find any information via net search or in technet. MDOP version is 2011 R2. Any idea what may cause this issue and the remediation of the problem would be?

Sorry to bring up a old thread, but has anyone found a solution for this besides editing the MSI?

Hi Fran,
It's a hard-coded condition check. Editing the MSI above fixed the issue for me. You either delete the condition or put in (OSEDITION = "Enterprise N") Seems like an oversight by Microsoft.
I have succesfuly pushed MBAM like this to a lot of machines so I can confirm doing as I did, works fine.PLEASE MARK ANY ANSWERS TO HELP OTHERS Blog:
