MBAM Install Language release.
Hello everybody,
Yesterday, I installed Microsot Bitlocker Administration and Monitoring as follow :
- One server with Compliance and Audit Database, Recovery and Hardware Database and Compliance and Audit Reports
- One server with Administration And Monitoring Server
Both servers are running with W2008R2 Enterprise. The process of installation was achieved with success.
Today, I wanted to install MBAM Language Release in order to set our MBAM Infrastructure in French.
I used the following website :
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/mdop/hh921956.aspx
The first step, "How to Upgrade MBAM Compliance and Audit Report Feature for MBAM Language Update" has been done successfully.
But, with the step "How to Upgrade MBAM Administration and Monitoring Server for MBAM Language Update", I'm facing a problem. At the end of the process of installation, I get the following message : "Setup encountered one or more errors and was unable to
complete successfully"
Does someone have an idea ?
Thank you.

Hi,
This type issue should be more related to the permission. Please try to use a domain user account to execute MBAMsetup.exe. Ensure this account is a member of local admin group also.
If the issue persists, please collect MBAM logs and upload
here.
Note: MBAM logs can be collected by when you execute MBAM Setup using the below command from elevated command prompt.
mbamsetup.exe /lvx c:\mbam.logKim Zhou

Hi,
I would like to know if you try to install MBAM on a Server which have Active Directory Domain Services role installed. If so, please understand that it is not supported.
Please refer to this.

Hi,
There isn't any Active Directory Domain Services roles installed on the MBAM servers.
Furthermore, the first install of MBAM was OK on the same server. It is only the language pack installation which doesn't work.
I try to find on Internet if someone has the same problem but it seems I'm alone... :( It seems that it will be difficult to resolve it .
I don't know if I can make a return as the language pack is yet installed on MBAM Compliance and Audit Report Feature.

Hello,
From the symptom, the issue could be caused by either the Windows Installer corruption or the MBAM installation. Please test if the Windows Installer is healthy.
To do so, you can down load the Basic.txt from the following link and rename it to Basic.msi. Then double click it to test the Windows Installer.
https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=1bca823bf7ba7d44&resid=1BCA823BF7BA7D44!106&parid=1BCA823BF7BA7D44!103&authkey=!APgwtNXw9pFys7c
If the Windows Installer is OK, we then may consider to troubleshoot the issue from MBAM point of view.
Thanks,
