MBAM - Clients not sending data to server
I am trying to setup MBAM, but I'm having problems getting clients to send data to the server. We have a separate database than the MBAM server. On clients in the event viewer under the Application logs for MBAM I'm seeing the following error: -------------------------------------------------------------- An error occurred while sending encryption status data. Error code: 0x803d0013 Details: A message containing a fault was received from the remote endpoint. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the server I am not seeing any errors. I have also seen this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2612822, which is a similar problem but I've already tried setting that registry key on the server and rebooting the server to rule that out. Does anyone know what else I can check on the server to see why this is failing?

Certain things to check: Set this key on client: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MBAM NoStartupDelay = 1 Questions for you: 1. Did you encrypt your volume using MBAM? or The volume is already bitlocker encrypted and now you installed MBAM agent? Also if the volume was already encrypted, in controlpanel do you see the volume as encrypted under bitlocker management solution. If you set the no startup delay key, and stop and start the MBAM agent, you should see the agent will start the process again and push the key for a machine if volume is already encrypted. We push the reg keys once you hit the next client wake up frequency, I hope this helps.Manoj Sehgal

Go on MBAM console and make this machine as compatible in Hardware tab. Also on Win7 client do this, open regedit, go to HKLM\software\microsoft\MBAM\HWExemptionType Change the value of HKLM\software\microsoft\MBAM\HWExemptionType from 0 to 2. O = unknown 2= compatible. Restart the MBAM client agent service.Manoj Sehgal

The first thing to do with MBAM is to be patient, the first client registration can take a lot of time. When the hardware status is "compatible" you can modify the registry key ClientWakeUpFrequency to 5 in HKLM/Software/Policies/Microsoft/FVE/MDOPBitlockerManagement/ restart the agent and wait few minutes, the prompt will appears.
