Lync transfer window is blank

Hi Team,

Over the last few days a few users have raised tickets that they are not able to transfer calls.

We are running Lync 2010 with Enterprise voice. When a user clicks the transfer button the list of user appears but does not work for us so we always use "Another Person or number" under Other Options. The next screen that pops up is "Invite by Name or Phone Number" is blank(white) The screen features are still active. What I mean is that if I click where the search box should be and type a users name and press enter it transfers the call to them. So screen is functional but not rendered.

To resolve this issue I have tried reinstalling Office 2013 with no resolve.

Anything else I can try t resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Regards,

Tony

Which client version do you use Office 2013 has Lync 2013 included. Be sure that you have installed all updates and also the Language pach SP1!

If you forgot an update, some buttons etc. will not

Not sure if this fits your scenario but I've been hearing about this DPI issue with Lync recently: http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/skype-for-Business-Transfer-Calls-appears-blank/m-p/4015630#M351526

Try changing the Display DPI from 125% to 100% or 126% on the desktop.

Is the client 2013?  This issue just started showing up with a recent patch:  http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/skype-for-Business-Transfer-Calls-appears-blank/m-p/4015630#M351526

If it's the same issue, there's a workaround related to changing the DPI or uninstalling the patch.

Thanks Michael,

Yes changing the DPI resolved the issue for all my users. Thanks Matthew for posting the solution.

Apparently this has been raised as a Windows bug and is being addressed that way.  I'm trying to get more information but so far we see it for Windows 7 machines.  If anyone can repro on Win 8 machines please advise.

Hi Dino, we have only seen this on Windows 7 so far. Do you know if a hotfix is going to be made available soon? Since our updates for Lync get pushed fdown via Office 365, i do not know of an easy way to uninstall the patch that caused this.

Changing the Display DPI from 125% to 100% solved my problem.

OS - Windows 7 Pro \ Office 2013 Pro

Thanks,

DS.
