Lync on desktop and phone do not sync

I cannot hold a Lync IM conversation on my phone, and then continue it on my laptop, or vice versa. I cannot see a Lync conversation that I had on my phone, on my laptop, or vice versa. Essentially there does not seem to be a way that Lync will work nicely on these 2 devices. Do I have to be either mobile, or in front of my desk to be effective? What if i'm both at different times?

Any help here much appreciated.  I'm 2013 on both devices (but dont see "Ask a question" in the 2013 section?)

By design if you are signed in on both desktop and mobile version, the one that responds will receive the message. It will not be delivered to both devices.

Mobile client wont save conversation to conversation history folder either, you will only have options to send conversation as e-mail.

If im not wrong,in future update of mobile client (Skype for business mobile) might get this support you are requesting.

Hi,

Agree with Off2work.

For Skype for Business Server, it enables mobile access to conversation history, missed IM, and call log data, archiving of this  information is now processed through  the server for all mobile clients. However, for Lync Server 2013, the conversation history on Lync mobile clients will only store in mobile client locally.
