Has any-one been able to put Lync behind SV8500 or any other NEC device from 8XXX series?
I do not think the NEC UNIVERGE SV 8000 SERIES can integrated with lync server.
First, the NEC and Microsoft official do not issue any documents or comments about integration.
Second, NEC Univerge sv 8000 do not provider the application interface that can intergrate with other UC softwares or devices.

We have a client with an NEC SV8100 and this my research so far:
from below FAQ it appears NEC SV8100 can integrate to Exchange 2010 UM:
(this should be verified and it is indicated it take integration time)

It seems like NEC SV8100 something called "UCB Lync Gateway" to integrate to Lync 2010:

Alex,
Sorry for this but I just saw your question now.
I work at NEC and I can say to you that we can integrate with MS Lync 2010 without problem. For this pls use OW5000 and just program RCC (Remote Call control). We have several documents that shows how program.
OW5000 can be used with NEAX2400IPX/SV7000/NEAX2000IPS/SV8300/SV8500.
For SV8100 we can use BCT gateway or UCB gateway.
We have several documents showing how implement this and make it work.
Best Regards.

Dear Marum,
I need your below suggestion on this
The phone system we have is an NEC SV8100 and do not have NEC UM8000 voice mail system. My requirement is i'd like to be able to do is get voice mails to be received and played through the inbox in Outlook
Currently We have Exchange 2010 without UM role
Can you please give me the possibilities of integrating with our Exchange Server so that end users can receive their voice mails in Outlook.
1) Can i integrate by introducing the UM role to accept the voice messages from NEC SV8100 . If so can you please provide the steps or the document that guides me.
2) Can i integrate by introducing UM8000-Mail Solution to receive emails on my inbox .If so can you please provide the steps or the document that guides me.
Or if there is any other options for end users to receive their voice emails only in their mailbox would also be fine
Your response is highly appreciated.
