Lync in personal computer

Hello

I have Lync running in my corporate system running windows 7. Lync is completely functional in my corporate system.

I have Lync software installed in personal computer running windows 8. I want to set up Lync in my personal computer. When i login in Lync in my personal computer i get message - "The user name, password or domain appears to be incorrect. Ensure that you entered them correctly."

All the credentials i provided are correct. Please let me know what needs to be done.

Thanks

Firstly, are you connecting from inside the corporate network or from the internet (External)? If internal on corporate then you will need to import the Root CA certificate for your corporate CA.

Secondly, is the corporate computer connecting by automatic or manual configuration? If manual, you will need to set this on your personal PC as well.

Thirdly, you may need to specify 3 items when logging in:-

1. the User SIP address

2. the User account (format is Domain\username)

3. Password

Hi,

Did the issue happen only for you or for multiple users?

Would you please elaborate your Lync Server environment?

If the issue happen only for you, please double check the tips PaulB_NZ provided above.

If the issue happen for multiple users, please first double check the configuration of Edge Server, make sure the DNS records, Edge Server certificate correctly.

Best Regards,
Eason Huang
