Lync crashing on startup due to Roland Octa Capture USB soundcard/interface

Hi there,

I have a problem with Lync (skype for business) in that it runs fine when my USB soundcard/interface is not turned on but crashes as soon as it is turned on and will immediately crash if its started when the USBsoundcard/interface is already on.

My USB soundcard/interface is a Roland Octa Capture.

Can anyone help? Is there maybe a setting I can change to get lync to work with it?

Thanks in advance.

Only way will be to test the drivers for you soundcard. May be the hardware is not compatible with Lync.

Hi,

Please try to uninstall the soundcard and then install the Windows default soundcard to test if the issue still happen or not.

It does not crash with the on board soundcard. But this means I have to switch off the Octacapture in order to use Lync. Is there no way around this?
