Lync clients not connecting to server

I have just completed an upgrade from OCS 2007 R2 to Lync 2010.  I'm currently having some problems with some clients connecting.  The error message I get is "Cannot sign in because the server is temporarily unavailable".  This does not happen on all the clients.  I have also noticed that some of the clients that did work if the users logs off and then back on they will have problems connecting to the Lync server.  Manual configuration will fix the problem but that is only a temporary solution.  Why are do some clients work and not others.  Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please try to delete Lync user profile and then test the issue again:

<user profile>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Communicator\

Thanks for all the replies, my problem ended up being a DNS issue.  The problem was a missing SRV record missing on our domain.  Our DNS is set up with internaldomain.domain.org & domain.org, the entry was missing from domain.org.
