Lync Status Broken

We are having issues with Lync 2013 on windows 7 VDI's and Machines..  Users are unable to manually change their profile status.  When they log into a VDI session they are set to away.  They can not change this manually.  You can select another status but upon selecting the status, nothing happens.  The drop down menu for status doesn't even roll back up after choosing one.  No updates have been done on the servers nor the VDI's.  We have logged in as an administrator or ourselves (also administrators) Lync works fine.  Under the Local settings and roaming we have deleted all Lync setting. We have uninstalled and reinstalled. Applied the latest patch for lync. Reprovisioned a vdi - still no avail.  Anyone have suggestions?  Maybe a certain registry key to check/change or add? I dunno, Im at a loss

I see lots of issues with the outlook calander out there not syncing causing incorrect status.  This is NOT our case.  We can not change our status manually to anything.  Status is ALways set to

Hi,

Did the issue still happen if the issued user login Lync account on another computer?

Please also delete the user information in regedit with the following path:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\sip@domain.com

Then restart Lync client to test the issue again.

Best Regards,

Thank you.  We attempted this with no luck.  We are able to remote into the VDI from our machines under the users credentials and it works.  But if the user attempts from his PC it fails.  We can log into lync directly from our machines with users credentials and it works and they are able to change their status message if they are logged into it at the same time on the vdi from their machine.  However as soo as we log off, they are no longer able to change status again. It has to be a setting on the local machine.  It sounds like the setting maybe cached somewhere in the vmware horizon view client - but do not see any references locally to lync within user profile

We are also experiencing the same issue so you're not alone.  Up to this point, we've patched all of our Edge servers and reinstalled MS Lync on the VDI, but to no avail the issue still exist.  If anyone can figure this out, it would be highly appreciated.

In addition, we moved the default communication protocol from PCoIP to Microsoft RDP in the VMware Horizon view client and connected, we then could change status with Lync with no issue.  We then tried moving it back to PCoIP, reconnected and that point it will recreated the issue with Lync status unchangeable.

Any idea why Microsoft RDP works, but PCoIP causes the Status Change Issue?
