Hi,

     I am trying to install Lync server 2013 on my AD server (windows server 2012). Upto windows identification prerequisite its got installed after that I got error that "This product cannot be installed on DC". I think this was because I installed lync server on my AD server.... can u please tell me is this because of that ???

 

its not a best practise and not recommended to install Lync server on DC as your DC manage your network and stores critical information on it. another reason is Security .
