Lync Server 2010 STD Lync Client Video Chat not initiating for more than 2 Users.

We have Lync Server 2010 Standard Deployed.

While we are using Video call we can not add another participant.(more than 2 Participant)

Is this a limitation or any workaround is available.

Thanks.

This should work.

Have you try to make a conference with 3 users and start video?

Hi

Please check the conferencing policy assigned to the user. Perhaps you have a conferencing policy where the maximum participation  level is set to 2 ?

thanks

Hi SonarPal,

I doubt this is a performance issue.

The traffic of a P2P video session is passed between clients. But when adding third participant into this session, this session will be upgraded to an A/V conferencing, and then all the Lync clients and endpoints should connect to an MCU which is hosted on FE server.

In this case, I suggest you should consider adding more Standard Edition servers or moving to Lync Server Enterprise Edition.

Best regards,

Eric
