Hi Team,

We have Lync 2010 Enterprise Pool. Pool has 3 lync 2010 servers. Suddenly on today after installation of lync 2010 latest cumulative patches, lync server went down and booting up on Operating System Recovery Option. We are in process of trying it to recover with LKGC and with other options but i ma thinking little ahead of this. Like if unfortunately, i am not able to recover OS error then next step is to re-install the OS W2k8 R2 and then to re-install the lync 2010. 

So i want to know step by guidance to how to re-install lync 2010 server with same hostname. Please let me know what to do from cleanup point of view before installation lync 2010 on same server(hostname and IP). does it require cleanup or not require?(first question)

What else to be done...from re-installation point of view...

Can you help me in step by guidance....i am absolutely new to Lync :) but since our champion to be on-boarded i have to resolved it. So team i want your help before going to re-install...

Hi,

It is only one server of the Lync FE pool?

If yes, don't worry. Install the server with the same name and run all steps through the deployment Wizzard.

The user data are stored on the backend database.
