Hello.

With Lync Online, can we use our own email addresses without moving domain?  Insted of user@xxx.onmicrosoft.com, I would like to use user@companyname.no. But hosting email on our own SBS 2011.

Eric is correct, this isn't necessarily the right forum, but the lines are blurred as a lot of us live in both worlds be necessity these days.

I'll restate the question to ensure I understand: "Can you run Lync Online in Office365 with companyname.no, but host email on-premises with the same domain?"  The answer to that is yes, you don't need to use the onmicrosoft.com domain name and you can have your email and Lync in different places as you suggested.  Lync will use Lync DNS records to locate the Lync Online servers, and Exchange will use email DNS records similarly.
